Iran: Turkish student visa, consulates and appointment guide
Citizens of Iran can enter Türkiye visa-free for tourist stays of up to 90 days within 180 days. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that those coming to study should obtain a visa appropriate to that purpose from a Turkish mission. Students who enter visa-free can also apply for a student residence permit at the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management (e-ikamet) after enrolling, before their visa-free period ends. Confirm the right route with your university's international office.
How to book an appointment
Through the e-Consulate system
If you are entitled to visa-free entry, no appointment is needed. For applications that require a visa, pre-application and appointments are made via www.visa.gov.tr. The consular section of the Embassy in Tehran accepts personal applications Sunday to Thursday, 09:00–12:30.
