With affordable tuition, English-taught programs and well-established universities, Türkiye welcomes more international students every year. In this guide we explain, step by step, how to apply to a bachelor's or associate degree program in Türkiye with your high school diploma.

Who can apply?

International applicants, and applicants who completed all of their high school education abroad, can apply to universities' quotas for international students. Different rules apply to applicants who completed high school entirely in Türkiye, so always check your target university's guide before applying.

Which exam results are accepted?

State universities use ÖSYM's TR-YÖS exam and international exams to admit international students. Private (foundation) universities may also admit students based on their high school GPA and their own assessment.

ℹ️
Exam results are valid for a limited time (usually 2 years). Check the validity of your score report before applying.

Documents in languages other than Turkish or English must be translated, with the translation certified by a notary or a Turkish embassy or consulate. Original documents are checked at final enrolment.
